The Instagram Vintage Clothing Accounts I’m Crazy About

One of my first online ventures into self-employment was a vintage shop I created on eBay and marketed through MySpace, which meant my days were spent combing through the racks at thrift stores and my weekend plans consisted of standing in early morning lines, waiting for estate sale doors to open and b-lining it to the bedrooms in hopes of a closet filled with old clothes. That was in 2005, and since then my OG business name Bleubird Vintage has morphed into many different things and landed us here at Bleu. The moral of this story is that I have a great affinity for all things vintage, and at times, I miss the good old days when I was buried up to my eyeballs in musty smelling, preloved clothes and shipping labels — simpler times for sure.

Nowadays, I still love, wear, and buy vintage, only my schedule rarely affords me the time to spend the good hour or more that it takes to find the true gems hidden amongst the crap at my local Goodwill. So, I turn to the new and current vintage shops that are dominating the resale scene. Instagram is the new eBay when it comes to vintage dealing, and today I’m sharing 15 of my favorite accounts. Each one offers something unique and has a style all their own. The Leo in me wants to selfishly keep these sellers my little secret, but I know just how hardworking these ladies are. Finding, sorting, sourcing, cleaning, mending, measuring, maintaining, marketing, and mailing clothes is no joke and they could use your support. Just be sure to save me a few of the good things, okay?

@iamthat_shop: I Am That is a Portland based vintage shop that offers a bright and bold selection of mostly ’90s and Y2K pieces — very on trend at the moment, and very hard not to want everything they style up for sale.

@luciazolea: A family run, carefully selected mix of high-end vintage from brands like Chanel and Dior, plus beautiful low-end pieces that combined make this one of my very favorite shops. They offer their own handmade label of dream-like, limited, expertly crafted pieces, as well.

@squashblossomvintage: Molly has been slinging vintage via her small business Squash Blossom for years. She sells some of the very best from the ’60s and ’70s that you can find on the Internet. Tip: watch her IG Stories to get the goods.

@imparfaiteparis: There’s nothing like a well curated, preloved, one-of-a-kind selection of clothes and accessories from France’s coolest vintage shops all in one. If you’ve had Parisian dreams before, just you wait. They ship worldwide, too.

@shopgirl.la: A fun, young take on vintage style. Shopgirl LA has a cool-girl selection of clothing and accessories that sell out lightening fast, plus a small inventory of handmade blouses.

@shopthebreak: Shoppable Instagram Story catalogs that offer a diverse range of sizing and reasonable pricing. Impeccably styled. Mostly ’90s and Y2K, but so sharp!

@lesfleurstudio: A feminine collection of vintage and contemporary silks, satins, and lace that are beautifully curated and pieced together in such a way that it makes you want to wear your grandmother’s pearls and buy yourself flowers. Not a bad thing.

@noirohio: Noirohio has been around since my vintage selling days. We sold on eBay around the same time and I commend her for keeping in the game all of these years. Not to mention she still styles and models her own clothes, which I think is so badass. She finds some of the best pieces in the game — I come here for the funky pants. You gotta move fast though, her stuff sells fast!

@fripouillevintage: This dreamy, French, vintage-filled Instagram feed makes me want to come back and do life all over again as a 20-something Parisian girl eating baguette and sipping café au lait with my cat on the balcony overlooking the city. It’s good to be a dreamer.

@gomvintage: Girls of Mars is a well curated collection of (mostly) suiting for all of your corporate ladyboss and classic style needs.

@desertvintage: The mother of all treasure troves when it comes to the fashion masterpieces of yesteryear. Everything is utterly stunning. I want it all, but I can’t afford it all.

@shopfuture: Many of my vintage Levi’s are from Shop Future. The owner Lane has become a friend of mine over the years and I always trust her measurements and know that they will fit me like a glove. She also has some of the best t-shirts around!

@smallneeds: I come here for the silky, satiny under things. The blouses are incredible, too. Such a beautiful collection.

@subrinaheyinkvintage: I love Subrina’s approach to selling her vintage finds. It’s homegrown, straight forward, and she sells quality pieces mostly through Stories and highlights using video, so you can really see how the clothes move and fit. I think I need to invite her for an Off Duty interview!

@riceandbeansvintage: If you’re looking for hard to find vintage Chanel, you’re welcome!
