I don’t think there’s ever been a song that more appropriately mirrors my perspective on life than “These Boots Are Made For Walking” by Nancy Sinatra. And by that I mean, if I dedicated 15 minutes and searched long and hard enough, I’d certainly find at least five pairs that I want, need, love. But, that’s besides the point! Before I get into the season’s best, I need to ask…have you seen the “These Boots Are Made For Walking” music video? If your answer is no, watch this and thank me later. If Nancy’s whole IDGAF persona and sparkly ensemble coupled with her pants-less backup dancers isn’t BDE decades ahead of its time, then I’m not sure what is.
Let’s face it: You don’t need a specific getup — or pair of boots for that matter — to channel your inner Nancy. But, something oh-so sweet to place on your feet this fall as a treat yourself moment certainly doesn’t hurt. You know what they say, if the shoe fits. I don’t know about you, but all (two of) my eyes are directed aptly toward the season’s most stylish options.
