Everyone loves a good vintage score or hand-me-down, and we can all appreciate saving a few bucks when buying things second hand. This has been our founder’s stance on shopping since she was a kid, hitting up garage sales with her saved up allowance. She still remembers that first fashion purchase — a pair of grey suede ankle boots with a little wooden heel that she found during the neighborhood rummage sale when she was just eight years old. They cost her a whopping $3. She spent the other $2 on past loved Barbies. This paved her entrance into the future world of Bleu she created over a dozen years ago when she took her passion of estate sale hopping and thrift store rack combing to the pages of eBay.
Which brings us to our latest addition to the Bleu platform: our Shop The Closet marketplace, where we take our editorial shopping experience one step further by giving our audience the opportunity to climb inside some incredible and influential women’s virtual closets and shop some of their passed down, personal pieces. It’s a way for those who are Marie Kondo-ing or simply just have too many clothes to find a select few a nice new home. They set the price and give a little history on each item. We couldn’t think of a better person to kick-off our new marketplace other than fashion lover Alyssa Coscarelli, and boy did she ever deliver! She’s offering up some greats including pieces from Acne Studios, Hermès, Vetements, and more. There’s only one of each, so the name of the game is if you see something you love, act fast because once it’s gone it’s gone for good. Happy shopping!
